Art as Channeling: The  Artist as Wielder of Consciousness 

   I experience a magnetic pull to pursue my purpose and explore the magic that exists within all living things. Inspired to mirror the light reflected from the world around as well as the realms found within. My method of making is an act of invocation or evocation. Visceral energies that flow through the conscious and unconscious awareness in a trance-like state known as channeling, take form dimensionally in time or space. My practice is not tethered to one material or process but rather indulges in the glow of experimentation. Mediums I have used and used, consist of working with precious stones, wood, metals, fabrics, paints, casting, and setting a tone in space with performance, installation, video, or music.    

    At times my displays can enact as a means of divination, intuitive speculation of what’s to come or act as divine creation in connection. When one channels energy into this human vessel, we use our mind and body as a conduit. When an intuitive creative connection to the divine or what’s known as the collective consciousness is established we allow this energy to become manifest. This is expressed through our living instrument as one forms through the sacred act of creation. When one allows for the state of flow to occur, we can experience this divine act of expression. Let yourself be guided by deep-seated connection, intuition, and inner wisdom. This connection can lay outside the confines of our understood reality and have an ethereal attraction towards spirit and other dimensions. It is my desire to materialize a window or portal to peer or walk through in space, enhanced by sound, performance, or tactile interaction. Solidifying sacred objects, conjuring an experience, or space that invites the observer to emotionally and spiritually connect is the intention of my art form. I yearn to create a bridge and cultivate a web of interconnectedness.
